Maxwell-Reddick and Associates, Inc. was contracted by the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia (GA BOR) on behalf of Georgia Southern University (GSU) to produce design and construction documents for the reconstruction of an existing golf course that was purchased by GSU utilizing the Construction Manager at Risk Procurement Method.
Our Approach
The existing golf course was in need to major refurbishment. Maxwell-Reddick in conjunction with golf course architect Robert C. Walker redesigned the golf course which included fairway alignments, cart paths, water features, bulkhead walls, a cart bridge, drainage structures, irrigation system, and practice areas.
The resulting golf course is aesthetically pleasing while providing for improved surface water drainage and satisfying the courses irrigation demands.
Permitting for the course reconstruction included wetlands, state waters buffer encroachments, land disturbance, and ground water and surface water irrigation withdrawals.
